Normal Yellow Budgies are one of the most difficult colors to achieve. Many yellow budgies, especially pet budgies, have a slight infusion of green in their color. Normal yellow budgies are similar to, but not the same as Lutinos. They are generally classified into light yellow, dark yellow, and olive yellow.
Light Yellow
- Mask (face) - buttercup yellow
- Body - buttercup yellow color with little to no signs of the normal wing markings.
- Tail Feathers - slightly lighter yellow.
- Throat Spots - none
- Cheek Patches - very light purple - barely visible.
Dark Yellow
- Mask (face) - buttercup yellow
- Body - slightly darker yellow than the light yellow with little to no signs of the normal wing markings.
- Tail Feathers - slightly lighter yellow
- Throat Spots - none
- Cheek Patches - light blueish purple - barely visible.
Olive Yellow
- Mask (face) - buttercup/mustard yellow
- Body - mustard yellow with little to no signs of the normal wing markings.
- Tail Feathers - blueish black and slightly darker than the skyblue and cobalt
- Throat Spots - none
- Cheek Patches - blueish purple.
