Remembering Ollie
Remembering Ollie

Ollie was the most beautiful budgie I have ever seen. She was of a very light blue colour, like the sky in a not so cloudy day. We found her left to die in a trash can near our home a year ago. She came to our lives and made each day a happy one with her chirping and squaking. Despite the fact that she enjoyed biting our toes and noses whenever we came too close to her or talked on the phone by her side, Ollie expressed true love for my husband and I. She would sit close to us and make little funny noises. Eventually she would let me kiss her belly or scratch her feet. She died of cancer a couple of days ago. Ollie left a big silence behind her and, while starring at my baby girl's empty cage, I try to remember how precious she was for me and forget how much I miss her company. Love from Mama.
